RoboCup is an annual robotics competition founded in 1996. The aim of the competition is to promote research and interest in the fields of AI and robotics. There are five different competition leagues, where RoboCup@Home is one of them. Link to the official RoboCup website.
The RoboCup@Home league aims to develop service and assistive robot technology with relevance for future personal domestic applications. It is divided in 3 sub-leagues, where we compete in the Social Standard Platform League (SSPL). The competitors in SSPL use the Pepper robot from SoftBank.
In 2018 we competed in Montreal, Canada, and in 2019 in Sydney, Australia. We worked hard to deliver our best at RoboCup@Home 2020 in Bordeaux, France. Due to the covid-19 virus the competition has been postponed to 2021.
